Volunteer Release of Liability

As a Volunteer for the 2009 San Francisco Writers Conference, I accept the following conditions:

I agree to abide by the Guidelines for Volunteers created by and for the Conference, including but not limited to the following:

• I will be a welcoming host to Attendees at all times, whether or not I am on duty as a Volunteer for the Conference;
• I will dress in a manner appropriate to professionals in the writing and publishing industry and appropriate for the Conference, and conduct myself appropriately as a representative of the Conference;
• I will fulfill the duties assigned to me by the Conference in a cheerful and timely manner;
• I will extend courtesy and respect to Attendees, Speakers, other Volunteers, and all persons with whom I come into contact in the normal course of the Conference, and
• I will help to maintain a professional atmosphere before, during, and after events that are part of the Conference, through and including any cleanup and exit period.

In consideration of the opportunity afforded me to assist in the Conference,
I agree that I, my assignees, heirs, guardians, and legal representatives will not make a claim—and I hereby waive and release any rights, action, or causes of action—against the 2009 San Francisco Writers Conference, any and all of its affiliated organizations, any of their officers or directors collectively or individually, and any Conference staff, sponsors, employees, speakers or agents for injury, death, or property damage, however caused, resulting from my participation in the 2009 San Francisco Writers Conference.

In consideration of the opportunity afforded me to assist in the Conference, I agree that I, my assignees, heirs, guardians, and legal representatives will not make a claim—and I hereby waive and release any rights, action, or causes of action—against the 2009 San Francisco Writers Conference, any and all of its affiliated organizations, any of their officers or directors collectively or individually, and any Conference staff, sponsors, employees, speakers or agents for injury, death, or property damage, however caused, resulting from my participation in the 2009 San Francisco Writers Conference.
